Collagen Induction therapy uses controlled damage to agitate the skin just enough to trigger a healing response. When very fine, single-use needles penetrate the skin through the Exceed device, the deeper layers of the skin respond with increased cell regeneration. The skin also starts to produce more collagen, which is what keeps it looking tight, smooth, and youthful. As we get older, collagen production tends to slow down. So, you might think of this treatment as a natural collagen infusion for the skin.

Treatment is further improved by the delivery of hyaluronic acid (HA) to the deeper layers of the skin. This is the same ingredient found in dermal fillers and a wide range of skincare products. The process involves the application of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or platelet-rich fibrin (PRFM) via collagen induction therapy, which acts as a matrix to promote collagen production and tissue regeneration. As a result, it can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and improve skin texture, and tone. This treatment typically yields noticeable improvement even after a single procedure, with continued improvement for up to 90 days post-treatment. 

Our clinicians use the Selphyl PRFM system, which is particularly adept at preparing the platelet-rich fibrin matrix from small blood samples. The system filters out unnecessary blood materials to create the ideal solution for treating your skin. By converting PRP to PRFM, we can sustain the release of growth factors over a longer period, leading to more impressive results. PRFM therapy has been proven to be more potent than PRP, as it has a higher concentration of platelets. For optimal outcomes, we recommend a series of three treatments scheduled at 4-week intervals. The effects of this treatment can last up to 12 months. 

We recommend 3 treatments, spaced four weeks apart, for the best results. During your consultation with our clinician, we'll assess your concerns and determine the most effective treatment plan. Collagen induction is excellent in conjunction with chemical peels and neurotoxin wrinkle treatments. 

Therapy sessions with hyaluronic acid start at $330 per treatment and sessions with PRFM cost $1150 per treatment session.  Sessions last about 60-70 minutes. Ask us about our multi-session packages!

Before the treatment, we'll apply a numbing cream to reduce any discomfort. A full-face treatment takes about 45 minutes, and you may experience mild redness, dryness, tightness, or flakiness for several days after the procedure. But don't worry, it's nothing a little Tylenol can't handle! Most patients describe the sensation as mild sunburn or windburn, and any redness should subside after 24 hours.

For the first 24 hours, avoid makeup, exercise, direct sunlight, and any active topicals like retinol or acne products. Once the 24 hours have passed, feel free to resume your normal routine, including wearing makeup. But, be sure to use SPF 50 or higher for at least 2-3 weeks after the treatment while your skin is still healing.
